About Me.
I’m Syed Ghulam Akbar. A Software Architect by profession, and a passionate software developer, who simply loves algorithms and programming.
I born in 1981, started programming at 18 years, and have been doing that since without getting tired of it. I done my M.Sc. in Computer Science from Quaid-i-Azam University in 2002, and joined Jin Technologies Pvt. Limited as Software Developer. Still working at that same company, as Sr. Application Architect, and leading its Multan Office. I worked on various projects and products during this more than 10 years professional career.
I also taught Rapid Application Development course to M.Sc students at Quaid-i-Azam University in 2005, but decided to not continue this as I found it extremely tough to be fair with teaching and do professional development at the same time. However, I loved the experience, and hopefully would like to return back to that (partially or fully).
Other than doing software design and development at work, this is my hobby too. So, I keep working on small utilities and products at home and on weekends. All of them are Freeware (and some are open source too). These can be found in the Products section. I also blog about interesting software problems, troubleshooting, pitfalls and my freeware products here. This blog not only keeps tracks of my development and findings, but aids me in recalling the fixes and tweaks that I applied to past problems. This info might be handy reference for other programmers and develoeprs as well.
My second best, and time consuming, hobby is building and flying RC Planes. I have dozen of RC Planes and Helicopters at home and love to fly them. I’m mostly interested in battery powered R/C Planes and Helis only. I also tried building some planes from scratch. Even though none of them had flied successfully yet, I still keep trying and trying. At least I know dozens of ways by which you can’t build and fly the RC planes.
At then end, I just want to say that all the guests are welcome here and hope you enjoy the stay here. Cookies are mandatory for all guests, while tips, tricks and free applications are optional and depends on the guest’s taste. You feedback, suggestions and comments are of great value to me, so please share them below.
