Subtitles Translator – Subscription Plans

Subtitle Translator has always been a pay-as-you-go tool — no account, no subscription, and no obligation required to translate a file. That’s not changing. What is changing is that we’ve made the optional subscription program a much better deal for our regular users.

First, a reminder: nothing is being taken away

If you’ve never subscribed, nothing about your experience changes. You can keep translating on-demand, paying only for what you use, with no transaction fees when paying from your account balance. The subscription program exists purely as an add-on for people who translate often enough that it’s worth it.

What’s new

We’ve just revised all three plans:

• Pro is now $4.99/month (down from $7.99) and comes with a 30% discount on every subtitle translation (up from 20%).
• Basic’s discount is now 10% on every translation (up from 5%), still at $1.99/month.
• Every plan now supports batch translation — you can queue up and translate multiple files together in one go: 20 files on Free, 50 on Basic, and 100 on Pro. If you regularly translate whole seasons of a show or a folder full of subtitles, the higher tiers save a lot of clicking around.

Free stays free, at $0/month, with no translation discount — it’s simply the baseline everyone starts from.

• Longer file retention — translated files stick around longer before they’re cleaned up (7 days on Free, 14 on Basic, 30 on Pro).

For anyone who translates regularly, the discount alone is often enough to cover the cost of the subscription itself — so you’re effectively getting the ad-free experience, the longer retention, and the bigger batch limits for free.

What’s in it for us

Running Subtitle Translator — the AI translation calls, storage, and hosting — isn’t free on our end either. Subscriptions give us a small, steady stream of income that helps cover those costs and keep the service reliable, without resorting to intrusive ads or raising per-translation prices for everyone. It’s a way for our most regular users to directly support the project while getting real value back in return.
