  4. Mr. Akbar..i would like to know why when if I save the translation, let´s say i don´t have to time to do it all at once, so i wanna do it per parts and I’ve saved it to finish it later, when I open it, there are a bunch of lines in the column “Original Text” translated in the language that i was trying to translate so i can’t translate it properly/dothe corrections because is already in the other language…how can i avoid this to happen? how ca I keep the original text always in the original language?

Orietta, thanks for the detail report. Unfortunately, currently the multiple translation sessions are not supported, so the scenario you have described may not work well as you mentioned. I will see if I can add support for this sometime in near future, but can’t give you a time frame for this at the moment.

Subtitles are not visible on mx player…In which format should I convert this subtitle so that it will support on mx player…Thanks..

The SRT format should work fine with MX player. However, if it’s not showing the subtitles, it may be due to some encoding issue. I will suggest trying with VLC player first to see if the subtitles works, and then playing with various text encoding formats.

Sorry, this is not yet supported, and due to the way the translation widget works, I don’t see it being supported in the near future.

Zen, before downloading the file, can you please make sure that all lines are translating? I know it’s painful to translate using the current scrolling technique. I will try to some workaround, but in the meantime time, either do this, or try Bing translator.

However, as I said, if it could handle more than 65 lines or so, this website would be exceptionally helpful. Everything else about it is awesome. And the potential is there. So to continue my comment, hoping for a positive solution:

Can you please tell me HOW to take an SRT file which has from 500 to 1000 lines and break it up in such a way that this website and its online software will translate the rest of the subtitle lines?

This would be great if it could translate more than 65 or so lines. But it doesn’t. I have a project with an SRT file that has about 750 subtitles altogether. SO I tried to break it up into smaller parts. But that didn’t work. Because it seems that the ONLINE TRANSLATOR will not accept any SRT file if it starts with a number after 1. Even if the first Subtitle is numbered “1”, if the following numbers are not 2,3,4, etc., it doesn’t work. This is crucial. Because I need to maintain the correct sequential numbers for all of the subtitles AFTER the first 65 or it becomes a total mess.

      Mike,

I can help you resolve this problem, but first I need to fully understand the limitation. First of all when you say that it doesn’t translate more than 65 lines, did you try to scroll through lines after selecting target language. There is a limitation of Google Translation widget that it only translate the visible lines on the web-page, so you have to scroll through all lines to translate them.

Now coming to the file format, the SRT files can start with any number, however for the translation to work correctly, these should follow the SRT file format as listed here:
      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SubRip

So each subtitle line should have sequence number, time in specific format, followed by subtitles text. If any of this is violated, it will not be recognized as valid subtitle file and will be rejected. I hope that this helps. If still run into any issues, please let me know.

Most probably, some browser compatibility issue. What browser you are using on the PC? Did you try latest FireFox and Chrome? If not, please try these.
