Sorry, you can’t upload the video files for translation. You have to extract the subtitles file (with .SRT extension) from the video, and upload that subtitles file for translation.

Just tried that, and it seems to be working for me. Is this doing this for all subtitltes you tried, or only a particular file is giving you problem? Can you try with any other file and see if that works?

hi. I’m so glad i used this site before otherwise id think that this site didn’t work. i tried to translate two/three different languages to English. The first one translated the first line but thats all i saw only the first line, i could not scroll at all (scroll option was not available). The second one the original and translated version were both same. it didn’t translate.
Kay, sometime the file translation widget doesn’t load correctly. If it’s not working, you can try uploading the file again, or try to use the Bing translation. If this still doesn’t work, can you send the sample file to me via email for further debugging?

I have an issue translating hungarian subtitles (.srt) to english subtitles with the following error:
“This is not a valid sub-title file.”
Any help will be appreciated.

First of all you need to make sure that file is indeed correct. You can try opening this with some other online SRT tools to see if those can read the fie fine. Or you can send the file to me vai email, and I can look into why it’s not reading the file correctly.

I assume you are talking about Subtitles Translator. If yes, then please check its FAQ section. And you can’t uninstall it as it’s not installed on your machine 🙂

It should be at the top right corner (near the translation controls). The button title is “Save As”. I hope that helps.
