The backend of this tool is written in the Swift MVC framework which is already open source (though not well documented):
      http://www.syedgakbar.com/projects/swift-mvc

I think the only thing which is not yet open source is some portion of the code related to the SRT file parsing. I will try to review and make this public soon.

      Nuni,

Can you please make sure the SRT file you are uploading is in the UTF-8 encoding? If still having problem, can you please send me copy of your subtitle file?

Thanks for this site. Korean language is not correctly interpreted (“Á¦°¡ ¹» À߸øÇÑ °ÅÁÒ?” ) thus the translation to English is awful.
I tried in Google translate page and the Korean language is well understood.
    Thanks,

      Kikunosuke,

Can you please make sure the file you are uploading is UTF-8 and not in ANSII format? If it’s in some other encoding, can you try to encode this to UTF-8 and try again? There are many online websites/applications which can let you convert the text file easily to different encoding schemes.

Hi and thanks for this great website!
Would be great if you can enhance this tool and implement user accounts with online saving of movies on translation progress.

      Simmy,

Thanks for the feedback and suggestion. I will think about this, but my only concern on similar idea has been the copyright violation in past, if I also host these subtitle files e.g. what if some user upload and make public the pirated subtitle file.

But I will see if this can be enabled for private use only without causing any problems.

      Regards, Akbar
