My hindi translated srt file not displaying subtitles… its showing sqaures & in it between x shape… how solve it?? plz help me.
i translated english to hindi omly. but during translate i can see hindi version titles on write side.
I assume it’s not showing the correct subtitle characters when playing the video? If yes, what video player you are using to play these videos. I would recommend VLC Player as it correctly plays the UTF-8 encoded subtitle files.
Sorry, this is now broken for few days. Something has changed on the Yandex Widget end and it seems to have broken translations. I’m looking into this now.
Okay, I think I have now isolated and fixed the issue. Please try to clear your browser cache and try again. If the problem persists, please let me know.
Hello Akbar i have tried again the Yandex translate with cleared the cache and again no change, it just stays and nothing happens. Thanks for your work anyway, you are doing great congrats!!
Hmm… that’s unfortunate. What browser you are using? If possible, try running with latest Chrome or Firefox browser in Incognito mode and see if that helps.
Is this for an SRT file? If yes, probably it contains some starting or end characters which are not being recognized by the upload verifier. Is it possible for you to send me a copy of the file for further debugging?
Thanks for providing this feature for free. However, the Yandex translator does not function well. I need to translate the subtitles from English to Russian. But it doesn’t work.
Sorry, it seems to be running into some issues where it can now translate only English subtitles. I will see if I can find some easy workaround or fix for that.
Thanks for this. One suggestion: dual-language output. I want to watch a French movie with a Japanese friend. If there was a choice to translate the English SRT into a combined English and Japanese SRT that could display both languages simultaneously, then we could both watch and read in our native languages. …
This would seem to be a generally useful option when the audience is a mixed one.
Thanks Greg for the suggestion. This one is already supported. Once you done the translation, just click on the “Merge Subtitles” button (in the header of Original Text column). This will then visually show both original and translated text combined and these will be combined in the downloaded file too. I hope this helps.
I am having a issue regarding uploading the file . I tried alot to squeeze its size but it can’t be as small as per requirement.
So please guide me i want to translate a turkish series into urdu.
Thanks
excelent work.

How does the Yandex translator work? There is no ‘translate’ button when it is selected from the dropdown.
It looks like something has changed in Yandex translator widget and it’s now only translating English subtitles. I will look into fixing this soon.

What is the size of the file you are trying to upload? Is it actually a subtitle file or video file?
