Do you mean that translation from the Chines to English failed on website, or it didn’t play well after translation in the media player?

Fantastic, if your translation is in Thai, remember to convert SRT to SSA after the translation… Otherwise i wont work whit the VLC player…

    Thanks…

Fantastic app – I use it all the time for my Thai wife, I am English

Couple of suggestions – either a batch mode or a button to clear or reset the screen, no big deal I just use refresh but sometimes I forget if I have downloaded the conversion or not. The screen says ‘save as’ but there is no option to do anything but download – that’s OK but for me but it isn’t ‘save as’

Thank you for this, I use it almost every day

    Hi Akbar πŸ™‚

I think you are doing a fantastic job, love your tool. I have one question πŸ™‚ Is it possible to make it so more people can work on the same sub? I ask this question because i am a member of a subgroup that make Danish subs for a site, and it would make it alot faster to control eks. spelling mistakes if we could split the linies between us.

Cheers and again thanks for a sublime tool. πŸ™‚

      March,

Thank you for the nice feedback and suggestions. Your idea of Collaborated editing is nice one, and I will think about supporting this soon. In the mean time, you can explore Google Translation Toolkit, and hope this helps you in what you are looking for.

      Riaz,

Once the file is uploaded, did you tried to change both source and target language drop-downs?

Thank you for this little gem!

One of Alphabet’s companies (Google, YouTube, etc) should hire you! They tend to be too focused on adding features and not focused enough on usability. You, one engineer in Pakistan, solved a real problem that the tech behemoth in Silicon Valley, California failed to address. Sheesh.

I guess this site could become like an online version of Gaupol Subtitle Editor. But I doubt you would be able to monetize it and frankly, at some point I suppose YouTube will add all of these features to YouTube video manager.

Frankly, it’s probably better to use this project as “resume material” to land a better job than you have now.

    Shalom from Los Angeles.

      Shalom,

Thank you very much for such a nice comment. To be honest, monetizing this or any other of my tools/app was never my goal in first place anyway. These are just some fun little projects which I though may be handy to others as well.

      Regards, Akbar

    Hi Akbar,

I check the original source srt. Somehow someone put a “818” after line #819 which cause the error. Removing the second “818” fixed the issue. Translation good now. Many thanks!

    818
    01:12:22,431 –> 01:12:25,199

    819
    818

    Good job.

      Tanaka,

Can you please confirm if the issue is the file content truncated at line#818 or the translation failed after line#818 (but the original text is still there)?

      Regards, Akbar
