Here in Cuba, your website is used a lot, I particulary use it to translate the english subtitles to spanish before http://www.tusubtitulo.com does it. Congratulations, regards
Hello, I currently use the program Subtitle Workshop.
When I wrote directly subtitles in the program the Cyrillic is good, but when I load the translated file from your website, then the program show all subtitles as unknown symbols. Please kindly help me with that. Thank you.
This seems like an encoding issue to me. The file you download after translation is UTF-8 encoded. Can you please check what encoding your program is expecting? Can you try to change the file encoding to ANSII and see if this helps (you can use Notepad++ or many other tools to do this)?
I really appriciate your contribution. This site is very useful. Thank you very much.
It is not a big problem but I think translation on this site is still using old version of google translate. Google translate is integrated recently and I reckon it is very well done. However still google integration is not reflected to subtitle translation on this site and recognized big differences. I would like you to implement Google translate integration. Thank you.
I love your site- it has opened a whole world of previously unavailable movies to me. I have just run into my 1st problem, however. I uploaded a set of Russian subtitles, that I know are in the cyrillic alphabet, but when they finish loading at your site, they show up in a ‘romanized form’ (looking like this- Äåéñòâóþùèå ëèöà è èñïîëíèòåëè: Ñýð Ïèòåð Òèëç – Ì. ßíøèí, for instance). I had wanted to translate the srt file to English, but even if I specify Russian to English, I still get a modified version of this gibberish. Is there a way to force recognition of the cyrillic characters? I’m using Firefox on a Mac.
Thanks for all your efforts!
Joe
This seems to be working on my end, but I’m trying to do some optimization on the page, and plan to deploy these soon. Let’s see if this makes any difference.
Is it me or is this wonderful tool not working so good anymore. When i upload an srt now to translate from English to Dutch only the first lines are translated, after that the original language remains. Tried many different srt files… Hopefully this will get fixed, this tool is great 🙂
Actually, after a Google Update, now you need to scroll down the subtitles area after upload to get all these subtitles lines translated. Try this and see if it works for you?
really a great job and service you provide for us,keep on going you are the best
