The simplest option may be to just replace the original subtitles file in the movie folder to make sure the movie player picks the new subtitles file. However, most of the movie player also supports selecting one or more subtitles file manually. See what options are available in your movie player.

    1) it would be great to have the chance to get pasted the content you suggest to google translator once you use the function
    2) it would be nice to keep subtitle’s style when editing that sentence (quoted, italics etc. )
    3) it really would be appreciated if one could load a partially translated file to continue working
but it’s a really nice work thank you for sharing all your programming efforts!

Thanks for the feedback. I think the #1 is simply out of my control (unless I’m missing some Google Translator API). While the #2 and #3 are certainly good suggestions and already in my to-do list. With the #2 being shortly done, while the #3 may take slightly longer.

    Hello Akbar
Is there any online free site which creates subtitles from movies i have on my computer. I tried gosubtitles but free only creates subtitles for 3 minute video. Thanks.

Not really sure. I think Youtube has this feature, but not very sure if you can actually use this for commercial movies.

This is awesome, thank you very much. I’m learning Spanish by watching movies with english and spanish subtitles and this helps a lot.

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, only languages supported by Google or Bing translator are currently supported.

Thanks Akbar, this is much appreciated, and whilst it may not be perfect it is quick, reliable enough, and really helpful when there are no other feasible options.
    Keep up the good work!

and Why is not the translation the same as Google Translator?

It uses the Google Translator widget, so I think the overall quality should be the same. May be web-page context is playing the role here, but can’t tell for sure as don’t know the inner details.

Dear Admin I want to multi sub translate because I need to learn german beside english so is it possible to add an option to append 2 language at one sub?

It’s not possible with current editor, but may be there are some online subtitles editors which lets you combine the two. Sorry for not being of help.

Can you PLEASE make it so you can check list multiple languages, and download several at once, as in bulk?

Sorry, this is currently not possible with translator widgets. I may work on this in future, but can’t give a time frame now.

Dear Akbar, Bing’s button does not work well. Sometimes it translates everything, others only the first lines and sometimes it doesn’t translate anything. Thank you!

Thanks, I was able to reproduce the problem. Looks like some limitation enforced by Bing API on how much it can translate. I will look into fixing this.

how to switch between google translator and bingo

For using Bing translation, instead of selecting the “To Language” (which triggers Google translator), simply click on the black “Translate” Bing button. This should launch Bing translator for translating subtitles. Hope this helps.
