You can do that by clicking the Save-As button at the top-right corner of the page. You can also view the Youtube tutorial (link at top-right corner as well) for more details and tips.
Wow, thank you very much. This application is amazing. You helped me to translate subtitles from Spanish to English which I can understand. Appreciate your work!
Do you get any error at all? Also, what browser you are using? If you can provide more details on at what stage it’s failing, I will see if I can isolate and fix this issue soon.
This should already be support. Both Google and Microsoft translator support that. If you are having any other trouble translating, please do let me know.
I’ve found subtitles for some obscure movies in Russian and Greek but not other languages. I can’t upload them to be translated because your software doesn’t recognize alternate character sets.
Without looking at the file itselfs, this sounds like character encoding issue. This subtitle translator only supports UTF-8 encoding. It tries to auto convert it to UTF-8 when the input is not, but it’s not very thorought, so may miss some rare encodings. There are many online tools which can help you convert your input file to UTF-8 and after than you can try translating here.
Or if possible, you are also welcome to email me one such file, and I can see what’s causing my decoder to trip over such files.
Hi
Is there a limit to how much can be translated in one file? For example… I have subtitles for videos that are 3-4 hours long. Will all of it be translated?
Yes, there is a limit on Google free translation. It actually depends on the number of characters and not the time, but most probably, your file will be translated without any problem. This is for only the free version, the paid translators (Microsoft and DeepL) don’t have any such limits.
Great work A. Question » anybody out there who can tell me based on experience as a human bilingual advanced fluid speaker in English+Portuguese » Which of the automatic systems is the least worse?
Greate, Beautiful, Wonderful site!
I userd it for the first time. I just wonder if translation(and other some action) finished or still in progress?
thanks
Hi Syed
Great job here. I do have one suggestion. You should lock the top row of the headings, sp that when we scroll down we can access the functions like Find and replace or merge files etc. Right now we need to scroll back up to access them.
Once the uploaded subtitle file is translated, how do we download the translated file (srt)?
You can do that by clicking the Save-As button at the top-right corner of the page. You can also view the Youtube tutorial (link at top-right corner as well) for more details and tips.
