Excellent work. I have a brief question: I always translate into Spanish and I have observed that in paragraphs where there is more than one line, the first of them always ends with a blank space, which does not happen in the second. Thanks
That’s a keen observation. I guess that space may be introduced as I convert subtitles back and forth between HTML and text to support online editing. Is the extra space annoying for you? I can probably easily trim that off if it’s causing a problem.
The blank space at the end of the first line (when the text used two or more) although it bothers me a bit, I have already solved it with a very quick and simple procedure: I pass the text translated into Spanish by “Subtitle Workshop” and the program remove them immediately. Thanks for your time.
Thanks for getting back to me. As I said it’s not that hard to fix, so I just deployed this on the website. Just clear your browser cache or run into the incognito mode to try that.
Please keep “Select language” ‘s option language’s name in English. When I tried, it shows different language names in hindi: very hard to find my destiny language
Something must be going wrong here. Another user has also complained about the language selection being in a different language too recently. But I can’t seem to reproduce this behaviour. I would appreciate any help in isolating what triggers this behaviour. Do you select Google translator, and it then translates the language selection drop-down too? Does this work in Incognito mode too?
Maybe I shouldn’t get into this thread because the question was asked by another user. Anyway, the same thing happened to me and my solution: I simply closed the page tab and re-entered and the problem is solved (for some unknown reason, and that is of little importance, I observed that it does not work with reloading the page, you have to exit and re-enter).
What translator you are trying to use? From your description, it looks like either Google or Yandex translating is active, and for some reason is also translating the language bar. Once you confirm the language and translator pair, I will look into this.
If you have full movie around 2hr google system did not work google can do just 1hr 40min never finish until 2hr but you can use ‘yendex” it’s faster than googel and can translater cover more than 3hr but meaning but not wide than google but it’s ok. anyway thank you so much it’s very comfortable
Thanks! This has been a long standing to-do item in my list which got requested a lot. Hopefully this will of help to all you guys, and as always I would appreciate any other feedback, comments or suggestions from your side.
This works really good for the translation, Akbar. Can you build a same page for transcription? English & Hindi both? Or is it already there on internet? Please suggest.
I think there are many tools available online for transcription like http://www.veed.io, rev.com and kapwing.com to name a few. But not sure if any of these are free. The only free option I know of is the Youtube video studio, which can generate subtitles for uploaded videos. But as far as I know this works mostly with English videos. But you can try and see how it goes.
You can’t translate the video files (either from youtube or from your local machine). This translator is for “subtitles” file only, which are usually text files of very small size which just contains the subtitles text. If you are the owner of the youtube video file, you can download its subtitle in SRT or SUB format, and then use this translator to translate these subtitles and upload those back to your youtube video. I hope it makes sense.
Sorry for the trouble Gustavo and thanks for getting back to me. I’m looking into this issue now, and your money has already been refunded. Hopefully you should have this in your bank account in a day or two. I will let you know once this issue is resolved.
This service is excellent! Translations are spot on, you can recognize the continues effort of the deep learning aspect build in the engine. Thanks Akbar, recently donated.
Sorry to hear about the trouble. If you can explain which part of the translator doesn’t work, or if you get any particular error, I will try to investigate that accordingly.
Hello, first things first … this page is fantastic.. use it really a lot .. but since yesterday when I upload a srrt file… the options language and translate are not appearing anymore .. Am I doing something wrong or are there some issue s?
Thanks for the feedback and sorry for the trouble. I deployed a new major upgrade yesterday adding support for multiple files. I think this may have broken something. Can you please try this again after clearing your browser cache (or running this in incognito mode). If the problem persists, please let me now.
Thanks for reporting that. Regarding the reply function, it looks like it was just not scrolling to the bottom of the page as you click on the reply. I think I have now fixed that as well.
