Thanks for the feedback, and sorry for the issue. Unfortunately, this free Web Translation widget from Google doesn’t let you dynamically change the language of the source. I will see if there are some workaround to make it work.
Hello, first of all, thank you for your very good program, if possible, include in your program the ability to automatically merge original and translated subtitle for all subtitles when we enter multiple subtitles into the program. This is currently possible manually on your site and will take a long time.
Thanks again.
Thanks for reporting this issue to me Ali. I think I have now fixed this problem. So basically when you now turn on the “Merge” subtitles mode in the multi-file translation, it applies the merge and vertical alignment option to all the subtitles in the current selection. I hope this help.
Thanks, I will see if I can isolate what’s going wrong with the download when using the 1DM browser. But in the meantime, I think if you use Chrome or Firefox, it should work as expected.
Sorry, it’s not possible using this tool. There are some other video subtitle extractor tools in the market, so you can try those. Hint: search for keywords like “extract subtitle from video” on Google.
Sorry for the trouble. Unfortunately, I don’t have control validation of the PayPal. Is it possible for you to Sign-Up or create a PayPal account? You can then link your Credit Card there, and see if that works?
It looks like this language is not yet available on Google Translate Web Widget. Once it’s there, it should automatically appear in the language selection drop-down.
I think this is most probably an option in the video player you are using to play these subtitles. The SRT format does have some text alignment support, so other option could be to explore some subtitle editors which can add the corresponding tags for you in each subtitle line.
Hi Alb, sorry for the trouble. I can’t seem to reproduce the problem. Is it that you took too long to edit before downloading the file? It looks like some kind of session timeout and intermediate interruption. But without reproducer, I’m not sure I can be of much help here. If possible, I would suggest trying this again and if the problem persists even after uploading the file, please do let me know.
Using Linux, with Chromium, Firefox and like the others, I can’t download the subtitles anymore. It seems after you added Save Settings feature, it stopped working….and yes all is up to date…
Thanks for the feedback and clue regarding the Save Settings feature. I think I know what’s going wrong here, and have deployed a fix now. Can you please test this again when convenient and see if it works this time?
Sorry for the continuous trouble guys! But until I can reproduce the problem (which I can’t at the moment), it would be hard for me to fix this properly. Nico, I assume you are running this Mac also? If yes, do you know the steps the view the browser console logs (via Inspect context menu)? If you can, it would be great, if you can share these errors with me so that I know what’s going on.
Also, in the meantime, I would also suggest trying clearing your browser cache to see if that solves the problem?
Hi. I have the same problem as Raidar Landér, the program translates the text but it can not save it. As soon as I press save as, the program goes into limbo and does nothing. I’ve tried Safari, Firefox and Opera on my iMac.
Thanks, Golol for your feedback and for confirming you have a similar problem. Without the Safar browser, it’s hard to see what’s going wrong there. I think I have fixed one possible issue and deployed a fix for that. After clearing the browser cache, can you try this again to see if that fixes the problem? If the problem persists, can you send me the browser console logs so that I can see what’s causing this to fail silently?
Hi there. I like the translation. But right now it is a problem to download the translated text (Download) it is running but nothing happened. I am using iMac with Safari.
Thanks, Reidar for the feedback. I don’t have Safari to confirm this, but I have just tested this with Chrome and it seems to be working as expected. Would it be possible for you to try this with the latest Chrome or Firefox browser and see if that helps?
Ok. i have tried with Firefox and it works, I can download, but not with Safari. I have Imac with 12.3.1 Monterey. I am sure this is a bug in your program, I can see others with same problem.
Otherwise I like your program. 🙂
Thanks for the feedback. I think I have now deployed a fix for this problem. Please try this as convenient, and let me know if the issue still persists.
Thanks for the feedback and suggestion. A separate application is not currently on my near future to-do list, but I will think about it. In the meantime, you can still access this from any web browser and the hope its responsive design gives you a somewhat good mobile app experience too.
Hello, I am relly interested in deepL sub translation but Paid translation is not working.
I am trying to pay but neither paypal nor credit card is working.
I am paying with my card everywhere else without any problem.
Any help?
Sorry for the trouble John. Can I please ask what type of error you get when submitting your payment details? It appears Paypal is rejecting these payment methods before it passes that info to my website, so I don’t know the failure reason. Have you tried creating a PayPal account and using that for the payment instead of directly using your credit card? I think PayPal has very strict policies about which type of cards it support, and unfortunately none of this is in my control. At the moment, all I can suggest is to try to use the Paypal account itself (by loading money into it first) and see if that works?
Hello! Awesome tool, thanks for making it! When using DeepL, clicking purchase doesn’t do anything. When I try the 10 free lines, it also doesn’t work although there is a message that says “Great news! All subtitles translated successfully!” I am using Chrome.
Hi Jonathan, thank you for reporting these issues back to me. The DeepL free version not showing any translation was definitely a bug that regressed recently when working on another fix. I think I have now fixed this, and to cover up my recent mix-up, I have also increased the free line limits to around 30 lines now. Hopefully, this gives comparatively better details to evaluate the translator quality.
Regarding the Paid Translation not working, I was not able to reproduce this issue. When you click on the “Pay Now” button, it opens a PayPal dialogue (sometimes in a new window) to securely get the payments detail. May be that is being blocked by some of your extensions? Can you try this in Incognito mode and see if it works?
Sorry for the trouble, but if you can share more details on what part is not working, I will see if I can isolate the problem. I assume you are using the Google translator, so when you upload a new file and select the “Tamil” from the Google Translator widget, it doesn’t translate the subtitles at all? If you don’t see the translator dropdown, please try using the latest Chrome or Firefox browsers, and let me know if the problem persists.
Hi,
To help fixing wrong translations, it would be useful to have a third translation column, which would translate back to the original language. Then we could quickly compare the translated version if we don’t understand it natively.
Thanks Bob! This is a neat suggestion, but the amount of effort it requires to develop that along with the way how Google translator works, it may not be that simple. I will see if I can schedule this in near future soon. In the meantime, I guess you can work around that by downloading the translating file, uploading it again, and this time selecting the source/original language. This way, you will have three files to compare and edit in two different browser windows/tabs. I know it’s not that elegant, but hopefully, give you something to work on until this is natively supported.
Muy Buenas traducciones , Gracias.

Thanks. I did get lucky–subtitlecat had it translated into English.
Wow es genial.

Hı, I’m using this site from five months. Pls make a app for mobile same as this site.
Thanks for the feedback. I will think about adding a mobile app for this tool.

It was great, thank you very much for your quick reply and correction.
Hello.
I wanted to translate azure, but my bank card wouldn’t take the payment. I live in Turkey, where paypal is forbidden.
Sorry for the trouble Lale. At the moment, PayPal is the only payment option. I will see if I can incorporate some other payment gateway soon.

I tried DeepL but sadly, I can’t pay with PayPal (credit card is not available); no issue paying on other sites and no liquidity problem. Weird.

Incredible, fantastic translation, very fast and accurate.
Thanks a lot
please add kurdish sorani new add on google translate

How can I save subtitles Right to left Align? Because the text format (texts containing English words) is cluttered in the player.
I think this is most probably an option in the video player you are using to play these subtitles. The SRT format does have some text alignment support, so other option could be to explore some subtitle editors which can add the corresponding tags for you in each subtitle line.

Works perfectly fine for me, Thank you Akbar this means lot for us. May Alla bless you.
