Hello! Can you please add this option since translate ( google ) is making so much mistakes for the fact that for example it translates one word from English and one from French or whatever. A persons name ( translated in English ) remains the same ( as it should ) but in another language it translates as an object or something and google takes from every language it can and translates entirely wrong.
Thanks for the feedback Jorgo and sorry for the poor result. Unfortunately, the Google Translate is still using free Machine Translation, and it is not context aware and is not as intelligent as some of other recent LLM Models like OpenAI ChatGPT or Gemini.
I’ve been using your site for a few years now. Maybe if you’ve seen the logs I’m the guy who translates from simplified chinese to traditional chinese. This is for my Taiwanese wife. I just want to say I appreciate your work. Thanks!
This is for the entire subtitle. And if you are calculating cost for batch of subtitles, uploaded at once, this is for the full batch. I hope this clarifies it.
In majority of the situation, this is because of text encoding of the subtitles file. Can you please make sure that it’s UTF-8 encoded. There are couple of online tools which can verify and convert subtitles for you.
If still can’t figure or solve this, please share a copy of subtitles file with me and I can look further into this.
Just to understand your request properly, can you please confirm if it’s about keeping the music (♪) symbol? I can look through why it’s being stripped. What translator you are using? And can you share few subtitles sample lines where are you having the problem?
I’m sorry for the trouble. What translator you were using? Also, can you clarify one more thing, was this a problem with the download or the files were not translated to target languages in the first place?
I’m sorry for the trouble Sylwia. Unfortunately, I don’t see any translation record in the system against your user recently. You last translation was in the November. By any chance, do you remember/have the order number or the filename so that I can search accordingly in the system to see what went wrong here?
I see you have now implemented the ability to remember the last translation language when using the website again. That is very helpful and saves me a lot of time and trouble. Thank you so much. Peter

So, I guess you best option with free translator is to manually fix the subtitles after translation. I have built a sophisticated find/replace tool to help with you that:

Hey, the price shown when calculating the cost is the price charged per line or is it the price for translating the entire subtitle?

Sometimes it shows fewer subtitles than the original, and sometimes it displays three question marks (???).

THANK’S
I translated 14 languages today, but all of them were ultimately converted into a single language for output.

hi, please add feature for saving word translate, as example どう mean gimana?, not tembaga
google translate only translate without context
Thanks for the suggestion. I think you can achieve something like this by doing a post translation find/replace. You can read more about it here:
https://blog.syedgakbar.com/subtitles-translator-help-tips/#find-and-replace-words
You can all find/replace multiple words pair in single go using this dialog, so you can keep a local copy of the source and translated words.
I will think about giving user the option to store these word pairs, but hopefully this gets you going for now.
