Tried the Deepl version, it’s cool, far more adaptive and context aware then google.

Hi, the first time I translated on the site I paid with a credit card and my second email account… Now I want to translate, but I accidentally logged in through Google with a different email account and my balance shows 0. How can I fix this? Thanks in advance.

By the way, I translated using GPT40 and the translation came out great

      Hi Yaffit,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing that overall you like the GPT-4 translation quality.

Regarding your issue, to re-login as another user, you first have to logout. You can do this by clicking on the “Logout” link at the top-right corner of the page – in the Google user bar. Once logged out, you can re-login via target using by clicking on the “Sing in with Google” button. I hope this helps.

Hi when I try to upload a subtite .srt a receive a mistake Server responded with 0 code

Hmm.. does this happen to all the files, or only few of these. I just tried uploading a SRT file without any issue.

If you experience this problem with certain SRT files only, can you send me a copy of it for further debugging/analysis?

please add the source language translation in Google Translate free, because there are so many words taken from non-source languages, whose results can come from random languages, especially for name mentions. For example, many texts come from English, and I translate them into Indonesian, the result of “Ikeda” actually comes from Croatian which means “Ever” in english and “Pernah” in indonesian, so every time the word “Ikeda” appears, it comes from Croatian not from English.

      Hi Mattry,

Thank you reporting this and I can appreciate the annoyance it’s causing. That said, unfortunately, the free translation widget I’m using for Google Translation, doesn’t support selection of the source language. It tries to auto detect this from the given content and as you have figured, it may not always be correct. But this is more like a limitation of the Translation Widget, and not something in my direct control. Sorry for not being of much help here.

      Regards,
      Akbar

Hello! Can you please add this option since translate ( google ) is making so much mistakes for the fact that for example it translates one word from English and one from French or whatever. A persons name ( translated in English ) remains the same ( as it should ) but in another language it translates as an object or something and google takes from every language it can and translates entirely wrong.

I’ve been using your site for a few years now. Maybe if you’ve seen the logs I’m the guy who translates from simplified chinese to traditional chinese. This is for my Taiwanese wife. I just want to say I appreciate your work. Thanks!

Hey, the price shown when calculating the cost is the price charged per line or is it the price for translating the entire subtitle?

    | Reply
    • Akbar

This is for the entire subtitle. And if you are calculating cost for batch of subtitles, uploaded at once, this is for the full batch. I hope this clarifies it.

Sometimes it shows fewer subtitles than the original, and sometimes it displays three question marks (???).

In majority of the situation, this is because of text encoding of the subtitles file. Can you please make sure that it’s UTF-8 encoded. There are couple of online tools which can verify and convert subtitles for you.

If still can’t figure or solve this, please share a copy of subtitles file with me and I can look further into this.

      Regards, Akbar

Just to understand your request properly, can you please confirm if it’s about keeping the music (♪) symbol? I can look through why it’s being stripped. What translator you are using? And can you share few subtitles sample lines where are you having the problem?

I’m sorry for the trouble. What translator you were using? Also, can you clarify one more thing, was this a problem with the download or the files were not translated to target languages in the first place?

I’m sorry for the trouble Sylwia. Unfortunately, I don’t see any translation record in the system against your user recently. You last translation was in the November. By any chance, do you remember/have the order number or the filename so that I can search accordingly in the system to see what went wrong here?

I see you have now implemented the ability to remember the last translation language when using the website again. That is very helpful and saves me a lot of time and trouble. Thank you so much. Peter
